Quality Inspector

Main purpose of job- To provide first off inspection to batch production runs, and final inspection.

Qualities we are looking for:- A person with a number of years experience in inspecting high specification precision machined parts. The successful candidate will be PC literate, and ideally be able to program and run CNC CMM’s using PC Dmis and/or Aberlink.

Duties:-

1.) Produce first off and final inspection of machined parts using a variety of inspection equipment.

2.) Produce FAIR’s as and when required.

3.) To be involved ISO 9001- 2008 audits

4.) Provide technical support to manufacturing problems as and when they arise.

5.) Supplier visits to provide audits and deal with quality problems.

6.) Discuss technical issues with customers, by phone, email and in person to obtain satisfactory conclusions.

7.) Active member of our in house “Quality Table”, to discuss and resolve quality problems.

8.) In house calibration of various measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, bore micrometers etc.)

9.) A working knowledge of AS9100 would be advantageous, as would experience in GR&R

Qualifications and Skill set requirements. Preferably apprentice trained with previous inspection and experience in precision engineering sector. Must be able to read drawings, and understand all associated drawing symbols.

Good communication skills, with a confident manner is essential.

Remuneration package is negotiable and based on experience.
